  • 11:00 - 12:00: Advances in EMS. Michael Murph, MD. EMS Medical Director. South Shore Hospital. A review and discussion of new prehospital thoughts, treatments and equipment.

  • 12:00 - 1:00: Buffet Luncheon. Drawing for Cannon Mountain Lift Tickets.

  • 1:00 - 2:00: Medical Management Rounds. Charles Pozner, MD. Medical Director Region IV. Director of Prehospital Care. Brigham & Women's Hospital. Steve Carter, EMTP. Chief, Littleton, MA Fire Department. Review and discussion of interesting prehospital trauma and medical cases.

  • 2:00 - 4:00: Sports Concussion. TBA MD. Brigham and Women's Hospital. Mechanism of injury and evaluation of sports related concussion syndrome.

  • 4:00 - 6:00: Battlefield to the Streets. Understanding the returning public safety veteran. Hayden Duggan, Ed.D. This presentation will provide an understanding of the readjustment issues for combat veterans returning from the battlefield as first responders.

  • 6:00 - 7:00: Welcoming Reception. Beacon Lounge. Hot hors d.oeuvres, beer wine and soft drinks.

  • 7:00 - 2:30: Free time/Ski time OR Mass EMTB Refresher Course.

  • 2:30 - 3:00: Registration

  • 3:00 - 5:00: Patient Assessment. TBA, MD. Discussion and demonstration of patient assessment techniques.

  • 5:00 - 7:00: Spinal Cord Injuries. TBA, MD. A review of the injury patterns and prehospital evaluation and treatments of spinal cord injuries being employed around the country.

  • 8:30: Texas Hold'Em Tournament. Grand Prize free stay at the Beacon for next year's conference. (Spend 4 nights this year stay 4 nights next year, stay 3 nights this year stay 3 nights next yeat, etc.)
